Bio

Lisa Nicole is an artist that has a romantic visionary approach to music. She blends sultry jazz with classic big ballad sounds mixed with a bit of contemporary classical style. She's a bit of Celine Dion peppered with some Norah Jones and accented with Grobanesque style.

As a performer, Lisa is intently tuned in to her audience. Although she has performed before the President and First Lady of the United States of America, sang a tribute to the NFL Commissioner at a Superbowl event, and headlined a Pre-Show for the Kelly Clarkson/Clay Aiken Independence Tour, she never loses sight of the beauty of music or the importance of every single person in her audience. Whether before a crowds of 1,000’s or in a small intimate group -- this young performer knows how to make each person feel as if they are the only person in the room.

Just weeks after September 11th tragedy, Lisa sang her first released single, “My America” to a contingent of New York City Firefighters and a group of families that had lost loved ones in the World Trade Center. At only 14-years-old, Lisa sang this intense song as she looked into the eyes of those who gave so much. Though her voice quivered and tears dotted her cheeks, this young woman finished the song with a resounding note with all the power and fortitude that these great Americans were worthy of.

Lisa’s natural talent and comfort with her audience was visible at an early age. Just moments after performing the National Anthem for a crowd of 800 people 9-year-old Lisa was asked to sing “God Bless America”. Though unprepared and unrehearsed, she happily agreed. Following her impromptu performance, recording artist Sonny Bono congratulated her on her ability and encouraged her to continue her dream to become a recording artist--and she has heeded his advice.

In 2002, Lisa began work on her first CD by recording “It’s All About Heart” and “I Choose You”. Both songs were written especially for Lisa by Raul Murciano, formerly of Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine. His expertise was clearly event -- in June of 2003, It’s All About Heart zoomed to #1 on MP3’s Adult Contemporary Chart.

Lisa continued her work on the album with double Grammy-winning songwriter, Christian Leuzzi (Gladys Knight, David Bisbal). After a brief meeting in Miami, the talented writer suggested that Lisa record, “Through Your Eyes” a song he wrote with multi-platinum songwriter Denise Rich. Mr. Leuzzi produced the song in a private recording studio in Miami.

As the CD progressed, Lisa began heeding the advice given to her by another music industry icon – the legendary producer Tom Dowd. At a 2000 Recording Academy event, Lisa had the unique opportunity to spend over half an hour talking with this renowned producer. During their private discussion, Mr. Dowd emphatically told Lisa to begin writing music. Four years later, Lisa acted on his advice and co-wrote her first two songs “This Moment” and “Still Love You.” She discovered the joy of writing and penned “My Promise” and “Listen to My Words” two inspirational love songs with co-writer Robert Coates. At the urging of Hollywood actor Stephen Singer (It Runs in the Family, Law & Order) Lisa branched out from her comfort zone of big ballads and inspirational music to co-write and recorded a techno song, “Just to Be With You”.

The title song of Lisa's newest CD, Uncertain Dreams, is a heartfelt trip into Lisa's own soul. Written while attending GRAMMY Camp just outside Los Angeles, Lisa wrote about her feelings--about being on her own, knowing the time had come for her to let go and discover all the world, yet she was afraid and needed help. Uncertain Dreams is a theme song for all who are venturing out to discover something new and feel the need for something more.

In addition to her musical talent, Lisa has also appeared on television, video and on a national website. In 2005, she was chosen Maybelline’s “Chick with Attitude” and is still featured on their national website. She appeared in a segment for the weekly prime time Japanese television show, “Astonishing! News” on the NBC affiliate Nippon Television, and was a principal actor/model in the Baby Bumble Bee educational video series.

Lisa is an artist with broad appeal and classic style. She draws charm from the golden years of Hollywood and infuses it with the energy and passion of today’s women. She's a young lady destined to touch the hearts of many.
