Lisa Sadowski

Lisa Sadowski has been performing ever since she can remember. Surrounded and supported by loving, musical parents and a family of 13 aunts and uncles who have always supported her talent, she was able to get over "stage fright" at an early age. She hasn't stopped singing since.

Having performed with the cover band Sound Effect for over 13 years, Lisa decided it was time to expand her horizons by writing her own original music as well. With the wealth of knowledge that she learned from not only performing live for so long with them, but also from working with such a phenomenal group of musicians in the interim, she is constantly looking to expand her horizons.

Lisa's musical style is a mix of R&B, soul, funk and acid jazz with a respect and appreciation for Hip Hop. While she loves to mix styles, she also loves the opportunity to delve into each particular genre to explore it to it's fullest as well. Lyrics and rhythm are key to her when it comes to song composition.

Lisa will proudly tell you that she is also a childhood cancer survivor. Diagnosed terminal at the age of 4 with a rare childhood cancer called Wilm's Tumor, she was taught many life lessons at an early age. After 7 years of chemotherapy and over 10 years of radiation, she's come out with quite a story to tell and she is grateful for the opportunity to tell it. That, in combination with the loss of her brother at the young age of 26, along with other recent family losses, has given her a true respect for life and a reason to tell her story.

She is most definitely open to collaboration with other souls whose purpose is to elevate and eminate the true human spirit through the blessing called "music". Those who are confident enough in themselves to bare their souls through composition and/or performance will be welcomed with open arms.
