Bio
Lisa Webb was only seventeen when she made the bold move from Decatur, Illinois to Music City. She convinced her parents to let her finish her high school education by home schooling to get a head start on her music career. When asked how she knew Nashville was right for her, Lisa explained, When I was 12 years old, my mom used to drive me to Nashville every chance she got, just so I could sing karaoke at Lonnies in Printers Alley! That was back when we really thought someone from some big label was probably sitting in there waiting to sign a 12 year old belting out Martina tunes on the karaoke mic! Lisa adds, Needless to say, we never met anyone like that. But I realized being in Nashville was about more than labels, it was about meeting people who have the same passion and dreams that you have, and learning what it really takes to make it in this business.
Lisa had already been given an idea of what it takes to make it in the music business, when she was offered the job as Music Director/Midday Host of her local country radio station at only 15 years old. Working in radio really helped me to learn the ins and outs of the business! I feel very blessed to have been given that opportunity at such a young age. Lisa was becoming one busy teen; working during the week at the radio station, traveling with her band every weekend, and even opening for acts such as Marty Stuart & Darryl Worley. Looking back, I cant believe how much we had going on! But it was by far the most exciting time of my life, Lisa says.
Exciting times are surely still to come for 22 year old Lisa Webb, who has since opened for artists Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Chris Cagle, Lonestar, and Sawyer Brown. Lisa recently wrapped up her This is Me Tour 2010 which spanned 14 states. Her 2011 tour, set to kick off in January, is set to be even larger. When asked what folks can expect when attending one of Lisas shows, Lisas voice raises in excitement, Expect to be singing along with a lot of your favorite songs, and hopefully relating to a couple that Ive written! We are a rockin country band, so more than anything, expect to have a lot of fun!
That rockin country band Lisa mentions consists of a female drummer who plays a double kick pedal, an exciting fiddle/mandolin player, a fast picking country lead guitarist, and a bass player who rocks out with the crowds. Their stage presence and chemistry is hard to ignore. If youre witnessing a live performance from this band for the first time, expect to be blown away.
