"Littlefoot- Three Song Demo"

When a band can bring back a flood of childhood nostalgia with just their name, they must be doing something right. Littlefoot, a hardcore influenced pop-punk band hailing from Maryland, share their namesake with the spunky apatosaurus protagonist from The Land Before Time.
Which makes sense because Littlefoot’s sound appeals to the young and the young at heart. Instead of trying to write profound songs, the Maryland pop-punkers just do what they do best: write fun, lighthearted music without trying to be too serious.
“Fresh Cut” kicks off the demo with a breakdown and never looks back. When the soaring vocals break into the catchy guitar riffs chock-full of feedback squeals, the leadoff track sounds cohesive and mosh-pit worthy. The gang vocals help breathe some enthusiasm into the song, and the instrumentation flows together well without sounding over-the-top. Littlefoot knows exactly where they stand on the line between pop-punk and hardcore, and never try to deviate more to one side.
“Gears” is another in your face track with fast-paced, emotionally-charged vocals with a drum beat to match. Although the length of the song might be a little overkill, the track is one long build-up to one last heartfelt chorus about being where you belong. Who says you need to be serious to have a positive message?
“Highway or the…Highway” is in the same mold as “Fresh Cut” by breaking down within the first twenty seconds of the track. There’s no real criticism to be said for the track, an anthem for coming home: the tongue-in-cheek title is witty, the vocals soar, the guitar and bass shred, and the drums are pacy and energetic. What more can one ask for in a pop-punk song? The harmonies that bring the track on the home stretch to one last breakdown are perfectly executed, and the gang vocals to end the song are a nice touch.
So if you’re feeling a little hardcore today, or just want three fun songs to throw your hands in the air to, check out Littlefoot. You won’t be left disappointed.

Bio

Littlefoot originated as a supergroup (...haha) comprised of members of different Tri-Sate area punk, hardcore and ska bands. As fate would have it, Littlefoot became a mainstay despite the band’s member’s different backgrounds and even ideals. Littlefoot derives their main influence from other pop-punk bands such as Set Your Goals, Four Year Strong, and even A Day to Remember. However, what sets them apart from the others is their technicality and innovative nature. Taking influence from bands such as August Burns Red and even Between the Buried and Me, Littlefoot's sound can be described as the most technical hardcore pop-punk you will ever hear. But they just like to call themselves "easycore" for short.

With Littlefoot's current lineup, they feel as if they are the closest they have ever been to reaching their goals. Nothing will stop them from getting out there and playing shows, making music, and sharing it with everyone else. For the 5 members of Littlefoot, slowing down is just not an option until they can make it out there in the music industry and prove themselves as a band.
