"Little G. Weevil"

" Originally Little G. was a drummer
but to blues lovers` greatest luck
he took up playing the guitar.
As soon as he steps on the stage
you can`t help watching him.
He sings with all his body and
straining every nerve.
He expresses his emotions in a
very individual way. He has a
special relationship with his guitar:
Little G. doesn`t use over rehearsed licks and doesn`t want to call interest by his fast technique. He sometimes plucks the strings for several minutes, meditating as he was talking to his guitar. " - Mister Magazine ( EU ), 2003

"Little G. Weevil"

" Little G. has an amazing way of making people feel his music. " - E. G. Kight, 2007

"Little G. Weevil"

" Little G.'s developed a style unmistakably his own. He is a remarkable guitarist, singer and songwriter who really captures the essence of Memphis Blues. "
- King Mojo Records, 2007

"Little G. Weevil"

Little G Weevil has a Memphis touch that’s scalding hot, with a drive and surge that flows rightly on."
- Long Island Blues Society, 2007

Bio

Little G Weevil guitarist, singer and songwriter started out as a drummer and began playing the guitar at the age of 17. He was introduced and captivated by the Blues scene through listening to legendary musicians such as John Lee Hooker, Lightnin' Hopkins, R. L. Burnside, Robert Belfour, Jessie Mae Hemphill, Albert Collins, B.B. King and Chuck Berry.

Ever since Little G. started his career he has focused solely on the Southern Blues and this can be clearly heard in his music. Although he has never had formal guitar or vocal lessons he now sings and plays the blues worldwide.

He established his own band in 1998. With his deep powerful voice and his ability to become one with his guitar, attention focused upon Little G. very early in his career. After years of touring mostly European countries he released his first single in 2001 and his first album with his band Pure Blues in 2004 under the EU based label D&B.

In the same year he relocated to Memphis, TN where he received a long-term contract on the legendary Beale Street. He has performed on numerous occasions in Beale Street's famous Blues clubs and has made his debut tours in the States of Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas.

His first solo recordings were also produced in Memphis in 2005.

Between 2005 and 2008 Little G has spent most of his time on the road. The past years he has appeared on major festivals and clubs in the US, Canada, Finland, Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, Austria, Serbia Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovak Republic, Hungary and England.

His very first solo album Southern Experience was released in March 2008 featuring the US Blues Music Award winner Billy Gibson and former Albert King keyboardist Charlie Wood.

Currently, Little G is based in Kennesaw, GA only a few miles away from the southern capital Atlanta.

During his career he has had the honor to play with many well known musicians such as: Anson Funderburgh, Sam Myers, Larry Garner, Big Jack Johnson, Lonnie Shields, Shemekia Copeland, E. G. Kight, Sharrie Williams, Willie King and the UK’s top blues men Ian Siegal and Matt Schofield.

He has opened up for the likes of: Johnny Winter, The Holmes Brothers, Terry Evans, C. J. Chenier, The Neville Brothers and Denise Lasalle.
