Biography

Little Shadows are Dan, Jay, Lee and Jimmy, four lads born and raised in Bermondsey, South East London. All four have known each other since their primary school days.

Having all come of age in the Britpop explosion, the boys caught the tail end of a vibrant local music scene and, in September 2010, they decided to form a band that would revive it.

Dan, Jay and Jimmy cut their musical teeth in various bands gigging up and down the Old Kent Road and the South East's toilet tour of comedy clubs and strip bars. Lee's early musical forays saw him working for Judge Jules' Serious label touring the country in support of some of the biggest DJ's of the noughties.

In late 2010, they spent months holed up in the old PWL building in The Borough, where all the Stock Aitken Waterman hits of the 80s were made, writing songs and refining their sound. Incorporating a range of influences from The Jam to Squeeze and The Smiths to The Kinks stolen from their parents record collections, Little Shadows' music tells the tales of love, life and loss as it's happening right now south of the river. It draws on the history of the docks and the tanneries and never forgets to celebrate the good times.
