Little Wing performs to inspire each other and its audience.
Anyone can see it in the smiles on the faces of the band as they perform. Often, you’ll catch a one of them shaking their head thinking about how great it is to be in this band! Or, just as often, you can see an audience member rear back their head when they hear the first five notes of a song they love, but had forgotten existed. That’s what it’s all about.
Entertaining to hear and see, they play songs that aren’t normally covered by most bands. Drummer Extraordinaire Go-Go Ray says, “It’s like going through a haunted house… you just don’t know what’s coming next.” Little Wing performs old Southern Rock, new southern rock, old blues, new blues, ballads and hard-driving metal, 60’s to today, a token country song, and a few tunes we know you’ve never heard. No radio station would get away with this! But Little Wing can… and they do.
The diversity built into their set list is intentional. Not aren’t trying to dilute their sound, or try to please a few people all the time… they perform the songs that are fun to hear and play. Fun because they are challenging, interesting, or just easy on the ears. They strive to remind everyone listening that may have a dream, any dream, to go out and do it. The band aims to show their audiences that with a big dream, surrounding yourself with the appropriate folks and some downright determination and drive, you can have it all!
We play songs to have fun and demonstrate a dream come true. Pretty simple, huh? If you have ever said, “tell me again why I’m doing this?” then do what we did: start dreaming, bring your seat to its full upright position, lock your tray table, push the thrusters forward, and soar with Little Wing!
