LIVIU SIGLER

Liviu Sigler broke into the music scene in Israel with the Hit Single ‘Princes Dance’, which he wrote (Music & Lyrics), co-produced, and performed. ‘Princes Dance’ became an instant classic that was also adopted into a folk dance. Liviu released 3 more singles: ‘Doctor’, ‘The Crab Dance’ and ‘Give Hope’ that got good airplay, and ‘Give Hope’ becoming a minor hit. Live performances and TV appearances followed and the success made Liviu a household name. He became widely known as the ‘Singing Doctor’. As a practicing physician Liviu advocated the connection between medicine and music as a healing medium. Liviu began his professional music career while still in medical school in Jerusalem. He performed live and recorded as a guitarist and backup singer for major Israeli artists such as Hanan Yovel, Oshik Levy and Gary Eckstein among others. He took part in the production and subsequent live performance of Shoshi David’s album and musical show (‘Fasulia’). Once 'Princes Dance' became a hit, Liviu toured with his band and developed a loyal following. He gave numerous solo guest appearances and performed with his band at the prestigious Arad Festival. Later he moved to the United States and specialized in psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, while continuing to create and perform music (both in Hebrew and English). Liviu has recently completed an album co-produced with Gary Eckstein, titled ‘Transition’. It is scheduled for release shortly. Presently, Liviu is taking the first steps in promoting his music in the international arena, actively looking for a talented and dynamic agent/manager to help break into the international market.
