"Free Falling"

"MELODICALLY AND MUSICALLY, IT'S TIGHT AND CATCHY....BUT BEYOND THE UPBEAT MELODIES AND REVERB-LADEN GUITAR SOUND ARE LYRICS THAT DESCRIBE A DEEP INTENSITY TEMPERED BY HOPE AND PITCH PERFECT VOCALS....IT'S ALL AT ONCE TECHNICALLY NOTABLE IN ITS PRODUCTION VALUES AND LYRICALLY RAW AND OPEN IN A WAY THAT MOST MUSICIANS FEAR TO EXPLORE." - Santa Fe Reporter

"New Song Alert | Freedom Girl"

"The premiere of the new track from New York City-based singer-songwriter Liv Lombardi called “Freedom Girl." - IndieMinded.com

"Liv and Let Liv"

"I spent most of the winter cursing the cold and wondering why the hell I bought a dry clean-only sweater, so now I’m trying to make more of my day. This is why I was happy to swing by Evangelo’s one afternoon to catch local singer-songwriter Liv Lombardi. She’s got a folk-meets-indie-rock thing going on, and it’s good!" - Santa Fe Reporter

Bio

Based out of the Chicago area, singer songwriter Liv Lombardi continues to build her dedicated fan-base with her soulful, androgynous and sultry vocals through her radically honest stylings. Her ever-growing body of work invites listeners to engage in an intimate, vulnerable and empowering story of life lived with an open heart.

Liv released her third studio album “Freedom Girl” in October 2017. A pop-heavy evolution with similar folk roots, Freedom Girl developed into a more direct and universal story than that of the internal representation of her previous two albums. The title track was originally inspired by a chance meeting with a perfect stranger in Budapest, Hungary, Lombardi explains about a 2013 trek across Europe with nothing but a backpack and a guitar.

”She called me Freedom Girl during our afternoon and evening together and it unlocked a world of wonder
in my brain and heart. The song was fully fleshed out
a few months later while I was living at the beach in Southern Turkey — thinking of this woman I had met and also meeting numerous young people who were escaping the violent protests in Istanbul. The idea of resistance and freedom was definitely in the air.”

In 2012, Liv released her debut album "Self-Medicate" which went on to win the New Mexico Music Award for Best Pop CD and gathered the attention of NPR's John Schaefer (WNYC SoundCheck) as well as film and television composer, Michael Tremante (Lord of the Rings, Panic Room). Her music video for "Bearer of Bad News' was a featured selection in the Williamsburg International Film Festival.

Liv has been favorably compared to the likes of Tracy Chapman, Chris Pureka, Melissa Etheridge, Ray LaMontagne and Patty Griffin.  Liv has played at notable venues such as Pianos (NYC), The Bitter End (NYC), The Bowery Electric (NYC), The Saint (NJ) as well as appearing at SXSW. She has opened for national, independent touring artists such as Jonah Tolchin, The Sun Parade, God-Des & She, Samantha Crain and Pinegrove. The Freedom Girl tour will continue through 2018 across the US and select European cities with a fourth studio album to be released in late 2018.
