Born in South Africa, Liyah’s extraordinary talents became apparent at the early age of four. Over the years, she has nurtured and honed her aptitude for singing and dancing to a professional level. By age fourteen, Liyah, singer/choreographer - mystified the audience at her first professional performance as an opening act for LL Cool J, Trick Daddy and Fat Joe at the Winter Jamz in Paradise at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL.

Influenced by Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey and Tupac, Liyah has created her own style of music that is sure to be heralded as the renaissance of Pop. “It’s important that my music entertains, but it’s more important that I provide young girls with a positive message,” Liyah expressed. Sponsored by MAC Cosmetics and being the poster-girl for Disk Makers has given Liyah added star power. Her dynamic performances and encapsulating songs prove that she is already revolutionizing the genre of Pop.
Liyah’s performance prowess is magnified by her professional resume. She performed as the main act, at several of the 2000 Presidential candidate, John Kerry’s South Florida rallies and at the 2002 World Tennis Championship. Liyah was the opening act for Pitbull at various Florida venues. In addition, she has performed at the Garlic Festival, Roots Festival, and the Martin Luther King Commemoration and has opened up for both Chingy, and Pretty Ricky. Liyah is making her mark by attaining radio play in several markets. Her song “Watching Me” played in Africa and was on the "Top 9 at 9" charts. It also played on Y-100 and Power 96 in South Florida. Her song “For Eternity” was charted and has played in Boston, DC, San Francisco and Detroit. Liyah’s single “Fooled” featuring MIMS has played on Power96, X-102.3 and various nightclubs in Detroit. Liyah has conducted several “live” radio interviews as the featured artist of the day.

An outstanding performer, Liyah has performed at various Power96 sponsored events with artists such as Kerry Hilson, Jasmin Sullivan, Rick Ross & Busta Rhimes in both the 2007 & 2008 World’s Largest Office Christmas Parties, Beach House and Calle Ocho, which had an audience of over 1.5 million people.

Her self-titled album features hit artists such as Mims. She has also worked with producers, Lu Diaz, Jim Jonsin, and Streetrunner of the Terror Squad. Delisha Thomas who is known for writing songs for Beyonce, Shareefa, Justin Bieber, etc wrote her most recent single, “Raise em’ High”. This album is a guaranteed classic as the listener can enjoy Liyah’s magnetic style and vibe to her feel good music.
