"BANDS TO LISTEN TO: LIZ COOPER AND THE STAMPEDE, EDWARD SHARPE AND THE MAGNETIC ZEROS"

"Liz Cooper and the Stampede is a Nashville-based band, featuring the earthy vocals of Baltimore native, Liz Cooper. The Americana band has a folk-western sound that slides melodically through the listener’s ears. Cooper’s vocals are natural and earnest, with a gruff, sexy edge. The band recently released their first EP, “Monsters,” this June. Liz Cooper and the Stampede makes one feel as if they are in a local Nashville bar, ready for a shot of whiskey. Listen to Liz Cooper and the Stampede’s new EP on iTunes and Spotify." - MUI The PR Company- Carolyn Ambrosich

Bio

Liz’s story is...

She has moved nine times but grew up mostly in Baltimore, MD. She always dreamed of and knew that she was going to be a singer/songwriter, but from a young age everyone was convinced she was going to be a professional golfer. Golf was only a hobby in her mind though and she eventually had enough. Leaving behind her friends, family, and golf scholarship, Liz packed her things and ran for the hills of Tennessee during her freshman year of college. After wandering around Nashville for the first few months getting to know the local music scene, she found her niche at Nashville Music House Recording Studio where The Stampede was created.

Known for her unique, strong guitar picking and haunting tone, Liz’s influence of americana/ folk mixed with her band’s influence of indie rock create something new and fresh; the kind of songs and melodies that inspire wanderlust and an attitude that screams to live life and explore. The Grateful Dead, The Band, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros, Delta Spirit and Rayland Baxter are huge influences to Liz Cooper & The Stampede lyrically, melodically, and for live performances. There’s never a dull moment. The live shows are inspiring, energetic and just a great time.
