Biography

In 2010, when a Brit, a German and an American gathered together to share their ideas and love for music with each other, Liz and the Lions was born into existence. The band is comprised of young musicians, each with their own musical background and characteristics, that came together to create the unique sound. Shortly after, the band continued to grow in number. In addition to the existing members, the Lions welcomed their drummer electric guitar player and cellist to create the full sound that is heard to this day.
Each member having their own array of musical history, from playing on hardcore stages, to acoustic cafés, to classical halls and British (Céilidh) festivals, their music became the international folk style that the band is now centered around. Each individual was not only participating in the music but also with the idea that their music is capable of achieving so much more; that it was being created for a greater purpose. Liz and the Lions aspire to inspire their listeners with music that calls them be dangerous and fight for what they believe in. "Learning to be dangerous" is not only the anthem of this band but the name of their upcoming album.
