Lizard Police formed in September of 2009 with the intention of making rock and roll dangerous in Tulsa again. In less than 6 months they were realizing that goal with waterfalls of beer, high fives, and ruined shoes becoming a common feature of the Tulsa music scene. Taking hard-core's ethics and energy and applying it to indie rock, Lizard Police created their own octopus armed version of power pop that was bursting at the seams with rhythm and unconventional guitar heroics. Imagine Superchunk, Pavement, and Dinosaur Jr. seen through Don Caballero's lens.
