Bio

"Spreading the Gospel through song is the purpose God planted in my life. Romans 15:9 says, 'That nations may glorify God for His mercy, I will confess (praise) Him among the nations and sing praises to His name' and I believe that is exactly what God has called me to do."

Her music finds its roots in jazz, has a texture supported by contemporary gospel and branches into neosoul. All in all, the music which has a heart that beats to bless the masses is nurtured by the Spirit of God and is just as unique and versatile as its Nurturer.

Liz Curry was born and raised in Troy, AL. She grew up in a family of singers. At age 9, she began singing Gospel music in local congregations with her two sisters in a group called the Curry Sisters.

Growing up in the church and being the child of a Pastor truly laid the foundation for her faith in God. However, she did not become what she calls totally devoted to God until she established a serious spiritual walk with Him while attending Vanderbilt University from 1996 to 2000. "That time in my life helped me realize that I had to grow up, not only as an adult but also in my worship", said Curry. "God really began to draw me closer and closer to Him and I came into the knowledge that a relationship with God was not equivalent to church attendance. I fell in love with God."

During her tenure at Vanderbilt, she joined the Vanderbilt Voices of Praise, Vanderbilt's gospel choir, and discovered that God's purpose for her life was to be a singer for His kingdom and His glory.

In July of 2000, Liz relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and served in the Changing Your World Mass Choir at World Changers Church International where Dr. Creflo A. Dollar, Jr. is Pastor. Her musical experiences have given her the opportunity to open for music ministers such as Bebo Norman, Virtue, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, Marvin Sapp & Tramaine Hawkins.

"The versatile music God gives me comes straight from His heart and it is for a versatile audience" said singer, writer and arranger Curry. "All I want to do is glorify Him and lead His people into a deeper knowledge of who He is and His presence through the music that He has given me."

Liz is a minister of Jesus Christ whose purpose can be summed up with three M's:

Ministry: It's clear--to serve God and people with the talents He has given her. It is to be a vessel that draws people to the face of God and the truth of His Word.

Music: Liz is a multi-octave vocalist who combines rich and warm tones with passionate expressions. Her introspective lyrics range from heartfelt praise and worship to stories that identify with the Christian experience. More than the words to songs, the lyrics come from a heart of holiness. Liz lives what she sings.

Missions: Above all, it is to be an instrument that causes people to know and worship the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent. This involves sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ domestically and internationally.

The Holy Spirit prompted her to launch Total Devotion Ministries - a vehicle for evangelistic outreach endeavors.

Liz currently resides in Atlanta, GA and attends World Changers Church International.
