"First Cuts"

...Mount Molehill is a furious mescalero stomper that grabs your attention straight away. Samhain is a beautiful bluesy jingle jangle with some lovely guitar work... I look orward to hearing from them again. - Hot Press

"Pick of the Fortnight"

Liz Is Evil are a guitar driven trio from Dublin who purvey a brand of raw pop that links fifties rock n roll, punk and pure pop tunes. The punchy 'Beached' hits you in the gut from the off, then piles on lots of rumbling guitars that recall Link Wray, a vigorous vocal from whoever and some great organ chords to swell it out. 'Some Dogs' starts like a very early Who, before galloping off at thundering speed, daring you to keep pace. It has spot on harmonies too. 'A Thing or Two' swings in with gusto and races you to the end, tossing off lots of feverish riffing as they go. Great stuff to annoy the neighbours with. - J Hayden - Hot Press

Bio

Liz Is Evil formed at an open mic session in early 2007. They began playing shows soon after and were gracing TV screens within months. Those TV stints drew the attention of RTE and the band were invited to record live for Dan Hegarty's radio show, as well as performing to a large audience on the 2fm 2moro 2our - a showcase tour for both successful and emerging bands. Their demo received Hot Press magazine 'Pick of the Fortnight' which led to nationwide air play and also in the States. Liz Is Evil were called on to play a very 'special' headline performace for Hard Working Class Heroes '09 - a showcase festival for emerging Irish acts. Their debut EP has been getting rave radio and magazine reviews (below) and plenty of airplay with the single 'Beached' a favourite. Liz Is Evil have been spreading their raw brand of music at festivals all over as well as hopping over and back to the U.K. Neither ex-lover nor Queen - Liz Is Evil...
