Liz Pahl and the Pahlbearers

BandFolkAmericana

Liz Pahl and the Pahlbearers is a Folk'n'Roll band with a solid rhythm section, lead guitar and powerful soulful female lead vocals that will be certain to catch you off guard. Our songs are melancholy, honest and completely human.

Biography

It was only a matter of time before all of our influences like Bonnie Raitt, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, Otis Redding, Susan Tedeschi, Jeff Buckley, Neko Case, Guy Clarke, Willie Nelson, Cat Power, BB King, Led Zepellin, and Bob Dylan would start forcing their way out in order to find one another in that timeless musical expression: "Hey, wanna start playing together?"

Only a year in the making, Liz Pahl and the Pahlbearers are made up of one part headstrong powerhouse vocals, two part universal side men who have played together for 10 years, and one part drumming god who has worked with Jorma Kaukonen. We are held together by the fact that after each gig, we want more. More out-of-body experiences that happen when you are on stage and everything just clicks. Our band could fall into an Americana/Folk/Rock genre writing songs that encompass underlying themes of love and loss.
