I started Ljósvaki out in the beginning of 2009, having been a self taught bedroom hip hop/electro producer for 10 years. At that time I felt my music had reached a point where I was satisfied I signed up for Músíktilraunir (an Icelandic Battle of the Bands two months later when I decided I wanted to play my music for the world.
As the only solo act of the final night, I got in second place and was awarded best programmer of the competition. So far so good I thought and went on to create my self-titled debut EP just a few months later. I decided to have it as a free download and it has had a very warm reception. I am working on my first full length album and it will hopefully be ready by the end of the year.
