Biography

At the age of two my mother asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up and, without hesitation, I told her I would be a songwriter or a mountain climber. I have been writing songs ever since, though I often prefer to tackle a physical mountain rather than the metaphorical mountains I face in my musical career. . .
I am from the Big Sky State, the Last Best Place, Montana. I learned to play my guitar sitting at a campfire singing old folk standards to the pine trees. As I developed my own songs they retained a reminiscent feeling of a sad folk ballad. Music is but one of the pursuits of my many inspirations in life.

Lyrics

All Right

Written By: LnZ Bennett

On a warm night, quiet street
I play my guitar low and sweet
and I don’t care if anyone hears
it’s all right with me if it gets me through the years
All right
All right
People pass me by without a word on the breeze
but from the shadows I can feel their eyes on me
Some say I’m lost and some say I’m free
But I’m just living here day after day
All right
All right
I’ll be all right if I can pull myself through another night
Though I may be alone
When I’m with my music I know I belong
The key to this life is being happy with what you got
Well I got more then some but lord knows it ain’t a lot
I spend my waking hours searching for my peace
Just to have it washed away by the longing in my dreams
All right
All right
So judge me not by my success
But by the merit of my defeat
Just love me for my presence here
Singing in the street
All right
All right
I’ll be all right if I can pull myself through another night
Though I may be alone
When I’m with my music I know I belong
When I’m with my music I know I belong

Next Time Around

Written By: LnZ Bennett

Guess I'll see you in the next life, see you the next time around.
For now we're heading our separate ways,
packing up our hearts and burning right along through another day.
You know I wonder if you'll feel free or if your head's still tangled up in me.
But if you don't call that won't trouble me at all.
I'll see you in the next life, see you the next time around.
But I'm wondering who'll you'll be when it isn't me by your side
No you don’t settle me down but I’m glad to have you around
and you may not think it much but know that I’ve been touched
And I'll see you in the next life, see you in the next same place
But you’ll be wearing a different face and you’ll love me in a different way
but I won’t complain. The only thing I’ve grown accustomed to is change.
I’ll see you in the next life, see you on the next lonely road
When I’m feeling like I’m almost home
But we both know we’ve still got so far to go
But when you leave you know I’ll be waving to you hello
I’m wandering around town trying not to let myself get too down
If I’m feeling strange I’ve only got myself to blame
Though we’ve parted ways, baby, please don’t hesitate
To see me in the next life, see me the next time around
Love me in the next life, love me the next time around
You know there’s nevertime when you’re living the rambler’s life
And you know you’re never free when you’ve always got someplace to be
Though we’ve gone our separate ways I think we’re headed to the same damn place
So I’ll see you in the next life, see you the next time around
For I don’t feel I’d still please you if I didn’t have to leave you
And I know that you don’t need me babe, so I don’t mind you’re leaving
I’ll see you in the next life, see you the next time around
Love you in the next life, love you the next time around
When the white noise of the road leads your mind to overload
and the beauty that surrounds you drink it in and let it drown you one more time
And when the morning comes and you’re feeling a little numb
And you find you’re talking to yourself so you don’t feel so alone
Know you can see me in the next life, see me the next time around
Love me in the next life, love me the next time around
see me in the next life, see me the next time around
Love me in the next life, love me the next time around

Little Pink Bow

Written By: LnZ Bennett

I watch you grow old. I wonder what life will bring,
another line accross my face, another day for me to waste away.
I almost remember a time when I was innocent and free
And I was not afraid to be alive.
Lost in a dream and stuck in time.
Where did that little girl go
With that little pink bow around her waist,
hiding the shoes she used to hate and climbing trees
Did she really grow up to be me
Everything she dreamed she could be
On a lazy summer Sunday in the trees
On a lazy summer Sunday in the trees
I watch you grow old. I wonder what life will bring
Another line accross your face
Another day that we will waste away
On a lazy summer Sunday in the trees
