"All Access Magazine: Loader ~ self-titled CD"

All Access Magazine 12/2008 Sound Bites: CD Reviews by Rob Swick

Loader ~ self-titled CD

Here's a So-Cal hard-rock outfit that isn't afraid to face hard questions and damaged perspectives, yet that also emerges with an underlying current of hope. From "Glass of Ambition" to "Space Funeral," the listener gets solid metallic structure and expert jamming, complete with discernable lyrics that don't just curse the darkness, but that actually, as found in a song such as "Light 'Em Up," endeavor to ignite a candle or two. "Light 'Em Up" features a percussive intro from Billy Idol's drummer Brian Tichy, leading first into choppy chords reminiscent of Collective Soul, and find singer Chad Snyder asking, "Will you take a stand?" "Love Song 9000" again pairs accessible melodies with good rocking, while "Moon Child" is more pensive, like "A Brand New Start," and finally "Space Funeral" -- a cut that doesn't actually play as grimly as the title might suggest, and which is actually much more melodic than metallic. Throughout the disk, guitarist Pete Nolte feathers his effect-modified solos, bolstered by bassist Lucky Islam and drummer George Dum, coming together in a sound that rocks hard while delivering tough questions coupled with positive responses. "All Access Magazine: LOADER CD Review"

All Access Magazine Review Aug 25th to Sept 14th 2005 Vol 3 Issue 12(Atomic Chaser):

It’s increasingly rare to hear a new band and actually get excited about their future output. But this CD from up and coming rockers LOADER , recently landing on my desk, goes by way too fast. The quartet has everything a rock and roll band needs. Power, Passion, and "LOADS" of attitude. Strong vocals combined with great musicianship are always a winning combination. Their sound will remind me of a harder edged LOCAL H with a dash of GREEN DAY angst just to spice things up. As is evident tracks like, "Someone," "Love Song 9000" and the groove laden, "Why should I care.” Throw away all the new-fangled “rock ‘n’ roll revival” bands and just check this band out. I’m sure it’s only the tip of the iceberg. LOADER is a rock band built to bring a new sense of Rock and Roll to a dying Hollywood scene that was once a central point for rock and roll. LOADER does not focus on reliving the past but instead pushes forward with an intoxicating and outright electrifying blend of Rock and Roll, Punk, and good old-fashioned rock and roll, creating memorable songs that will keep you rocking and rolling for a very long time. Good stuff! This is one band that is definitely worth checking out.

"Music Connection Magazine Demo Critique: LOADER Demo Critique"

Music Connection
Vol.XXlX, No. 24 11/21/05 to 12/04/05

A seven-song sampler presents a tight, melodic and hook-heavy outfit. In the tradition of Everlast, 311, and others, LOADER delivers upbeat melodies that stick in your memory. “Someone” is a real radio-friendly song, and “Love Song 9000” is not far behind it. The guitar maelstrom that rifles through the Oasis-like “You Live For Now” shows that the band can shift stylistic gears and play their instruments with a high level of skill. Songwriter Pete Nolte has a true gift.

Bio

Mix Universe with human kind and drink it down. That’s what LOADER is all about. We take people out of the everyday grind and lead them to where they want to go. Some people may think that the lyrics are too in your face. Yet most that understand what LOADER is all about will enjoy the ride of what our music stands for. We realize that life isn’t always the greatest, however we believe that you make it what it is no matter what the situation. All of our songs reflect the ups and downs, but show you a path to come out of it. It’s your choice whether you want out. We aren’t afraid to go places that others haven’t been. And we aren’t afraid to speak the truth even if you may not agree, even if you’re not ready to hear it. We are the connection to the next level. It’s your choice whether you want to be connected. Some people ask what does LOADER mean? Well let your imagination run wild. It can mean whatever you want it to mean. For us it represents doing what the average person won’t do, to get were they want to go. We will take it over the edge and go beyond. We just let the music do the talking. The music is not only our expression of what we feel or may have experienced, it uplifts us to a higher level and that is where we want to take others. It is a matter of letting the music take you to the place you want to go, because we are “Already There”. We feel as musicians this is our job. People are here to experience something different, to take them away from the grind, and that is what we are trying to accomplish. No matter what the situation “You Live For Now” that seems to be our motto. We have taken experiences in our life that weren’t the greatest and transformed them into something bigger than ourselves. Something positive to dwell on, not negative. We just want to get it out there and let others accept it or not. We all have such diverse backgrounds and are so different it is hard to believe that it has come together as well as it has. We have different ideas about what we are doing, but there seems to one common ground and that is getting our music out to the people. This is not only what we want it is what we are going to do. The connection we have when we play seems to take us where we want to go.
