Peter Lobo

My name is Peter Lobo. Back in Europe I went to music schools studying classical music but I always had rock bands and played drums, guitars, keys. In NY I went to college (Queens) and dropped out after three years. Started a band in Manhattan - wrote a song "The Time Has Come" that was #1 on mp3.com for ten weeks. I worked with Gordon Raphael (The Strokes) as a session guy and also a band member (Absinthee). I did lots of session and writing work in Big Apple. Moved to Dallas TX (I followed my ex girlfriend). I started working with some cool musicians in TX and than moved to LA. As a drummer I toured with Dawn Robonson (EnVogue) and wrote songs for her, Dre Allen and went on a huge tour with Juliett and the Licks opening for The Darkness in Europe. The reason it didn't work out with the licks was that Juliett wanted to record four of my songs for their new album but the band wasn't happy about it. It was easier to leave than stick around. I build my studio in N Hollywood, started playing more intruments including an accordion and writing songs. I co-wrote 18 songs with Samantha Stollenwerck and went on tour with her to open for Ziggy Marley, Blues Traveler, Robert Rundolph The DMB. Afetrer she decided to a break from music I started finishing my songs and Sweet Dream is one of them.
