Bio

Local Demise started in June of 1999 as a 3 piece punk band with Adam on drums, Mike on
guitar, and Trav on Bass and vox. We soon realized that we needed another guitar player to
play the music we were writing. Greg joined about a month later on the drums. Adam stepped up
to lead guitar and lead vox, and Mike went to rhythm guitar. Between 1999 and 2001 we played
alot of local shows all over New Jersey. In June of 2001 we called it quits and took a much
needed 2 year break. Adam joined the Kadavers,Pats!e, and later helped form Jesus Chrystler,
Trav joined up with Stick Figure Suicide, and Mike and Greg joined The Scrapes(later Terror
Alert). Greg would later help form Towers open Fire.
In July, 2003 Adam, Mike and Trav put the pieces of Local Demise back together and got
Mike Sagonic to drum for them. They also got Bryan to do lead vox and free up Adam on lead
guitar. In 2004 Sagonic left to join Ku Da Ta and Bruce was hired to do the drums during the
chaotic 2004-2005 time period. The future was dim because of crappy shows and internal
disputes. Local Demise soon left Bruce behind and Sagonic filled in between Sept 2004 and Dec
2004. Sagonic played his last show with us in Dec 2004 and went on to form the pirate metal
band Swashbuckle.
With Sagonic gone, Eric responded to a flyer for a drum player. Local Demise really liked his
style so he was taken on as a permanent drummer. Between Jan 2005 and April 2006 we played
extensively to dwindling audiences because of under par performances and generic songwriting.
The band was about to quit again for good and took about a month to evaluate the situation.
In June 2006 Local Demise decided that Bryan wasn't the right vocalist for us and brought
Adam back to lead vox. We concentrated on the older songs(1999-2001) which were the best
and really got back to the roots. We settled on our final line-up: Adam - lead guitar, lead vox;
Mike - rhythm guitar; Trav - bass, backup vox; Eric Drums.
Tapping into the creative songwriting that got us shows all over the state in 2000 and
implementing all of the influences we aquired over the years, we created a unique blend of
metal, punk, hardcore and rock that brings the hardness of metal and hardcore, while
emphisizing the melody of rock and punk. The stage was set for the final product of all these
years of work.
On Sept 24, 2006 Local Demise came back with old and newest songs alike to an explosive
audience at Joe's Mill Hill basement. They nearly tore the place down listening to the
culmination of our latest efforts and 7 years of work. Since then, the sky is the limit as we play
as many shows as we can and continue to compose some of the sickest material we have ever
written.
In January 2007 we recorded 'Demo '07' and plan to send it to everyone who will listen. And on
March 31 we were one of featured bands at Metalfest II at the Trocadero in Philly (we are
releasing the live cd soon). Now in spring 2007 we are ready to rage scenes everywhere and
make Local Demise a household name. See you suckas at the show!!!!
