"Locket Love channel power -punk in a post-classic punk world"

"In a weird way, it’s absolutely refreshing to hear a modern band following a punk rock ethos, while adding in a credible touch of modern rock sensibilities and playing off the classics of a bygone era. Sure, it isn’t superior to old-school punk rock, but it isn’t meant to be. ‘Locket Love’ derive from a foundation of garage punk, yet have enough swagger and “modern” sense to exist in their own established niche of quality and appeal." - Ryan Merkel,thelevityball.com

""Locket Love are a seasoned band with much to look forward to and more than enough talent in the band to get fans interested. ""

90's pop-punk, melodic rock, underground, honest, tight - any of these words describe Locket Love, Power chords and active bass lines - brings to mind old-school Blink-182, Rancid, Goo Goo Dolls, Bad Religion, etc. Green Day is an apparent influence in the some of the vocal delivery of "Familiar", and the punk-slur attitude is accompanied by tight drums and huge beefy guitars. "Familiar" closes with some strong melodic vocal overlapping, putting the band a notch above lots of their peers.

"Broken Voice" showcases some more power chord rock, slightly blues-ish licks and a crazy flam/phaser effect on some of the drum rolls. The singer is note-on, though the melody is a bit elementary, until the end when the vocals again layer in harmony.

"Perfect Song" kind of has a doo-wop feel through a pop-punk lens. You can't help but notice the melodic and vocal comparisons again to Billy Joe Armstrong, which is a pretty high compliment if anything. The drums are tight, and the instruments very noticeably have a character of their own, they are not taking the backstage to the vocalist and it keeps things interesting.
