Locus of Control are a four-piece rock band from Crickhowell, Powys.

After touring the length and breadth of Britain relentlessly for 2 years locus signed to underground label Alpha Engineering Records in 2004. Their debut single 'The Comfort of Repetition' went to number 26 in the Official UK Rock Charts beating the new entry 'the Unnamed Feeling' from Metallica in the process.

They have toured the UK and Ireland with Goldfinger, thisGirl, AntiHero, X is Loaded and Midasuno. They have recently shared stages with the likes of Colour of Fire, Jetplane Landing, Miss Black America, Biffy Clyro, NHOI and Hondo Maclean.

Their debut album 'to a Bloody War or a Sickly Season' was released in January 2005 to widespread critical acclaim. Songs from the album were chosen by Metal Hammer and Rocksound for their covermount CDs. The videos supporting the first two singles ‘The Comfort of Repetition’ and ‘Bromide’ have been played daily on Scuzz TV for months and are still in rotation. The album was released in France in June 2005.

Songs from the album have been played by Mary Anne Hobbs on the Radio One Rock Show, Kerrang! 105.2, the Bethan and Huw show on Radio One, Adam Walton on Radio One Wales and on Bruce Dickinson’s Radio Six rock show. Locus have also recorded a session for Kerrang! 105.2 Radio which was aired in February 2005.
