In 1985 Lois Hinners played with the Band "Hot Date", an all female rock band. They recorded half of the album for the movie sound track "Spring Break" and Lois played and danced in two scenes. Lois studied 4 years at University of Miami, School of Music. She learned to read music at age 20 and came very close to obtaining a performance degree. "Follow your Dream!"

In the 1970's Lois listened to Folk and Rock and roll. She picked up guitar in her teens and found a friend. She was influenced most by Rock and R&B. Favorite performing artists were Ann and Nancy Wilson, Aretha Franklin, Janice Joplin and later by Stevie Ray Vaughn, Rene Austin, Bonnie Raitt and Norah Jones.
