Biography

Lola Sweet has been honing their craft in many bands for years before finding each other and now- really rockin' the house.
Lola sings with great bluesy gusto, lending her voice to the best tunes of Etta James, Susan Tedeschi, Norah Jones and Sharon Jones, Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin, Patsy Cline and many more.
The band also kicks it up, covering BB King, Albert King, Ray Charles, Junior Wells, Little Walter, CCR, Chuck, Berry, Bo Diddley, The Beatles, Derek and The Dominos, The Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia Band, Jimi Hendrix, The Band, NRBQ, Taj Mahal, Jimmy Cliff, Ike Turner, The Funky Meters, Gene Vincent, Elvis, The Paladins and many more.
Andrew's guitar playing, inspired by his heroes from all the above bands, has played all over the area in the Regulators, (then Deregulators)-ascap recording artists and a mainstay at the Framingham Blues Festival, also opening for Robert Cray at the Hampton Beach Casino. Jim's venerable ivory tinkling embodies the soul of Johnny Johnson, Jerry Lee Lewis and Professor Longhair. Bass man Al Garay lays down a groovin' solid bottom end which Jon Golden's kick-ass, powerful drumming complements.
Put 'em all together, stir 'em up... it's Lola Sweet and the Burbanites!
