Bio

In June 2004, Lola Natisa Wilson's fate was chanllenged through a near death experience. While on her way home one rainy afternoon, the back right tire of her car hit a ver large puddle of water causing the car to flip over three times. It was by GOD's grace and mercy that she made it out of the accident alive with no pain or any physical scares to remind her of what could have been the end of her life. It is experiences like this that drive one to believe and have faith in their dreams and goals. The powerful lesson learned was that life is much to short to just settle and give up on what one wants to achieve in life.
People often question my motivation and determination by asking me, "What will I do if music does not work out? What is my backup plan, just in case I fail". My answer is always firm and it never changes. I live to succeed because failure is not an option. I understand that I may fall during my journey but as long as I have strength in my legs and spirit of endurance I will always manage to get back up. Every obstacle is preparation for my triumph!
Having the ability to sing means the world to me. To know that I have a gift of songs is magnificent. Singing is what I live for. It si my only true passion. Singing is my soulmate it comforts me and nurtures me in every way possible. It is my breath of life. I believe in who I am. I am a giver of music. I am a singer.
Being the heir of musical talents, I know that I am destined to be an icon. I was named after my grandmother, a music teacher, who possesses and displays great strength and pride. My beauty is a reflection of my mother Vernita Wilson and father Rev. David Wilson. They sowed a spiritual seed in me at an early age. This spiritual seed developed into a spiritual foundation that continues to grow today. It is my nature to be sassy. Given a hint of jazz, you have a sexy, sassy, jazzy super star.
Born in Wichita, Kansas and raised in Dallas , Texas, I was exposed to the art of music at my father's church. It was there that I admired my mother's craftiness in music. She was the minister of music and I participated in the children's choir. At the tender age of thirteen, I performed my first solo in front of my father's congregation. I realized, at that very moment, that singing would be my life. After church, my father would take my sister and I to the video store to rent movies. It never failed, I would always pick Janet Jackson. I would use our game room at home for my concert hall and sing to the audience that I painted in my mind. It is amazing to know that even back then I was preparing for the day that my dreams would come true.
After high school, I attended Clark Atlanta University. In order to perfect the art of performing I elected to major in theater. As a sophomore, I received my first major role in the hit musical The Wiz. I played the character Miss One. Once word got around campus that I could sing, I began to perform at many different events and programs for the University. After putting a few performances under my belt, I had the opportunity to be the opening act for R&B sensation Donell Jones at the Morehouse College Homecoming Concert. I realized, at Clark Atlanta University, that experiences, whether good or bad, can only make me stronger, wiser and prepared for what life has in store for me.
Once I graduated from Clark Atlanta, I decided to reside in Atlanta and continue my pursuit fo success. Since graduation, I have sang at many weddings, various events at clubs and have been apart of countless talent shows. One of my more recent highlights involved auditioning for P.Diddy's "Making of the Band". Although I was not selected for the show, I was featured on several news stations in Atlanta for being the first singer in line to audition. This just illustrates my firm belief in the pursuit of my dream of being a super star. Despite everything that I have acheived, I know that this is just the begining, and the world hasn't seen anything yet. Pay close attention, because you will soon be mesmerized by the musical sounds of Lola Natisa!
