Bio

Originally conceived as remix project that took on a life of it's own, LOLA DUTRONIC is the brainchild of producer/composer/performer and former member of the Diodes, Richard Citroen, mixing modern electronic beats and production with the 60's French pop that he loves. Think Francoise Hardy with beats!
Vocalist Lola Dee has been performing on stage since the age of 5, with an extensive background in jazz and opera. LOLA DUTRONIC is her first foray into "pop" music.
Influences include Serge Gainsbourg, Francoise Hardy, John Barry, Saint Etienne, Goldfrapp and Dangermouse.
Once based in Toronto Canada, the band is now something of an international collaboration, with Richard being based in Toronto, while Lola resides in Berlin, where the band continues to write and record.
