Bio

Mr. Kripper

Mr. Kripper (Hector Marmolejos) was born March 22 1981 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Ever since he was a child he has been surrounded by Musical talents; starting with his mother, who possessed one of the most beautiful voices in the Santo Domingo area. He has always been inclined to become a musical artist. He writes and composes his own music and also writes and performs his own lyrics.
Mr. Kripper migrated to the United States at the age of 13. This is when his encounter with reggeaton occurred. While attending Roosevelt High School, Yonkers, NY he overheard a group of young people making a rhythm on the lunch room tables. He was drawn by this rhythm and quickly learned it and started rapping to it. Latter that same year he met his partner El Santo and ever since they have been beat making and rapping together.
Mr. Kripper has a great knowledge on the recording industry. In 2003 he partnered up with Charlie Contreras to form Power House recording studios. Here Mr. Kripper learned the basics of sound engineering and became knowledgeable in how the music industry works.
Mr. Kripper y El Santo bring an interesting mix to the reggaeton table, combining several different styles they create a unique sound that’s very catchy and fun. They formed a group called Lo’ Matatane and recorded and album titled Lo’ Matatane Evolucionando El Genero.

El Santo
Heriberto Dimas Cordero, “El Santo”, singer and composer, was born on January 28, 1976 in San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic. As a youngster Heri, as his friends like to call him, was a music fanatic. He listened to such artists as Vico-C, Wiso-G between others. At the age of 16 he moved to Puerto Rico, where he experienced more of this new genre that was beginning to grow, which today we call “Reggaeton”. Two years later he moved to New York. Here he met who would become not only his close friend but his music partner, “Mr. “Kripper”. While in high school he began to write lyrics and began developing an interest in performing music. Together with “Mr. Kripper” they began writing lyrics and interpreting this phenomenon called Reggaeton. Today he is a part of Lo’ Matatanes. Mr. Kripper and El Santo bring a different and exiting twist to the reggaeton genre. The mix of New York underground hip hop and reggaeton brings to the table a different flavor and this shows in the unique sound that Lo’ Matatane possess.
