Longshot Academy

Longshot Academy was formed by Karl Roos and Daniel Sande in January 2013. After jamming unsuccessfully with several drummers, they called on Daniel's good friend Aaron Willowbrook to take up his guitar again and join the team. As fortune would have it Aaron knew a drummer, and thus, the band found Collin Smith.

That summer, as things began to develop and gel, Aaron began to realize that this project wasn't for him and eventually bowed out, leaving a hole in the line-up that wouldn't be filled for some months. Through many try-outs, work continued without a lead guitarist, and going out as a three-piece seemed the only solution.

Then September of 2013 happened. One day Karl and Daniel were chatting about their challenges with finding the right guitar player and Karl said something like, "I have this old friend that plays. We should call him." Within weeks Arman Birang was recruited. Since then it's been a steady stream of writing, rehearsing, and recording.

Their prelimary 4 song EP demo was recorded in 2014 and was released online in September. CDs coming soon! All songs are available on Reverb Nation.
