Loona Dae

Loona Dae, St Louis native, is a singer/songwriter based in Chicago. Since 2011, Loona has worked with the likes of record producer James Auwater (Late Registration), production collective ThemPeople and Chris Classick of Classick Studios. While she has not very many collaborations under her belt, she's definitely held her own thus far as a member of the Chicago-based soul collective Highness. Loona holds her own in the collective as a singer, songwriter, producer, performer, photographer and plays guitar and piano. She's currently working closely with Highness on their second project anticipated to be their first full length album due sometime 2016 and is currently performing and recording for her introductory EP due early next year. The soulful songstress is a balanced recipe of musical diplomacy - to say the least, she's a mix of Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, John Lennon, Lianne La Havas all in one with the stylistic strength and flexibility of today's biggest stars, such as Rihanna. Her pure soultry soprano voice is capable of delivering any mood, sound or style. With her songs, she paints pictures through musical contour layered with mellow, sophisticated jazz chords, with rhythmic phrasing, thought provoking context, and a stage presence that commands your attention without saying. People stop in their tracks.
