"Life's Work (Premier)"

LOOPRAT has become one of our favorite groups from St.Louis. But this goes beyond geography , LOOPRAT has managed to use instrumentation in a way that is rare but is moving to the forefront in Hip-Hop today. Pair that with a group of talented lyricist and you get something special. “Life’s Work” is the second visual installment from their recently released album, “How Live?” With an instrumental that carries cyclical momentum through a cypher-style song, “Life’s Work” acknowledges the value of the means rather than the ends, where beauty in the grind outlasts the satisfaction of immediate desire.

"LOOPRAT – “All the Way Live” Video"

“This is soul food for thought, hope your mind think it’s delicious” That line from the first verse of LOOPRAT’s “All the Way Live” video shouldn’t be met with much resistance. Watch this loose, jam-oriented video from this STL group and you’ll inevitably be grooving along to the well-mixed combination of jazzy, big band vibes and killer rhymes. The track was already fun, but the pop-up concert video brings the live, organic elements of the track to life quite nicely. LOOP’s upcoming How Live? album drops Aug 26. - UPROXX
