"Live Show Review"

First up was Loose Lips, who joined us again from Brighton, with their insanely catchy indie-punk riffs and melodic woah-oh-oh-ing into the mic. They joined the Betas at Kingston, rocked out in Brighton, Bristol and Southampton with them, before venturing down to Devon to finish off the tour. You can’t fault their enthusiasm and you won’t be able to get their songs out of your head for days. Weeks, even. Would love to see them back here for Beta Fest 2012. - Tallis Music Blog

"Review of Drive Away"

“Definitely my favourite track on this half of the playlist, “Drive Away” by Loose Lips is the perfect example of British Rock. Comparable to bands like The Who and Biffy Clyro, with exceptional vocals carrying well written lyrics and an inoffensive rock sound, “Drive” is a song with a wonderful voice that should be an anthem. Powerful song writing lies at the heart of this track, and with other great songs in their repertoire we’ll clearly be hearing more from them.” - SQ Magazine

"Review of Blindfold"

The most noticeable thing about Loose Lips’ “Blindfold” is the vocals of Jason Barker; distinctly English they seem to pair perfectly with the music and the catchy lyrics. With memorable and unique riffs throughout the fast paced track is very ambitious in places and is proof that the band deserve to be signed. Not dissimilar to tracks by bands like The Who “Blindfold” is anthemic and extremely energetic. - SQ Magazine

Bio

We're a Brighton based Rock/Punk band that are branching out of our local area and spreading around the country.

We started out as two university students just playing around and having fun making music and after asking a friend to play bass for a gig we decided to make a go of it as a band after the reaction we got from the first gig decided to play in the band properly.

Here's a little bit about us and what we've been up to. We started out in June and have already self released our first EP and done two small tours. Since may we've built up a fan base which is ever increasing in and around Brighton, London and other parts around the south of the country. At the moment we are working on getting more exposure and turning what was initially just a bit of fun into a career for the three of us. We've been able to book ourself's on some great shows and have some amazing ones coming up.

In November we had the pleasure of supporting Madina Lake and My Passion at Concorde 2 in Brighton.

At the begining of this year we recorded a mini-album which is being mixed and sent out to labels at the moment.
We started the year playing with Attention Thieves at the Purple Turtle, Camden and have also been booked for Redfest in Surrey in 2012 which has an impressive line up with the likes of Kids in Glass Houses and The King Blues.

Our influences range from the likes of early Green Day, You Me at Six, Gaslight anthem to bands like The Who, Led Zepplin and The Beatles whilst also drawing influences from people like John Mayer and Bedouin Soundclash

Our music is regularly played on radio stations around Brighton and other parts of the country including Brighton University student Radio, MTM Radio and Harrow Local Radio.
