Combining catchy melodies, heavy breakdowns and unpredictable rhythms Lo Rays has a promising package to offer. The founding member Laura quit her job, moved from Finland to Glasgow following her dreams of becoming a rockstar. Her ecstatic live presence and drive proves that she has nothing to lose.   

Billie Eilish ominous synth pop combined with the energy of anthemic alt-rock of Biffy Clyro culminates Lo Rays. This is lead by dark and dynamic vocals that range from soft and sweet to intimidatingly powerful. You can hear a desire to challenge; quirky songwriting that wraps you around their little finger and pushes you away as soon as you get comfortable. 

Having only been around for a year, the band has done a lot to get in to the radar. They have supported touring acts such as Wild Front, Estrons and Lala Lala. In January 2019 they released their first EP ”Unstable Air” and did an independent release tour driving around in a van and sleeping on the floors of their friends. Aberdeen and Glasgow shows were close to selling out.

Lo Rays are currently building their following, with upcoming shows in Glasgow and Edinburgh. They are preparing their first music video, new visuals and are promoting their new EP. 

With the drive and energy they have it won’t be long until Lo Rays is on the lips of everyone in Glasgow. Creating ecstatic live shows and quirky songs it’s hard not to get intrigued by them.
