" Cotler sings Konnakol chants at impossibly breakneck speed ... performed with peerless artistry and in a seemingly effortless manner."
- The Jerusalem Post

Lori's stunning rhythmic adeptness and genre-bending dexterity puts her in a class all her own among contemporary vocalists. Drawing from the highly sophisticated South Indian rare art form known as Konnakol (slang name: Indian beatboxing), she can execute with the human voice, vocal maneuvers which do not seem possible in their rhythmic speed and clarity. Lori is a fearless vocalist, who can soar through complex rhythmic syncopation's, while at a moments notice, can flow into tender velvety-toned melisma.

Among Lori's live performances have been radio concerts broadcasted on Spanish National Radio 4 (Barcelona, Spain), Italian National Radio 3 (Rome, Italy) and National Public Radio. She has been invited to present her unique approach to the voice at such universities as The Julliard School, Mannes College of Music, Manhattan School of Music, Royal Academy of Music (Stockholm, Sweden), Berklee College of Music and The Academy — A Program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and The Weill Music Institute.

Lori is active in the commercial music field, recording for film and TV using her wide knowledge of composition and vocal stylings and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).

Lori holds a Bachelor Degree of Music from Berklee College of Music and a Masters Degree in Music Therapy from New York University.
