Bio
Born and raised in Newton, Kansas, Dreier is a true Midwest farmer's daughter. Coming from a culture rich in Mennonite tradition, small town ease, farm living and family heritage, Lori brings a unique take to life that enriches her songwriting. Songs like "Tractor" and "Ten Million" are emblematic of her style.
Musically speaking, Lori is powerfully drawn to raw, original music and the craft of songwriting...she focus on creating what her nieces call "Lori Songs" and that suits her quite well. Simple coffee houses, festivals and small theater venues are her venues of choice, and she has been performing at these spots since moving to Fort Worth, Texas.
Fort Worth Weekly might have said it best "What's not to like? Live, you'll see a sweet-natured young gal sitting on a chair on-stage, an acoustic guitar in her lap, her shoes off, making the frightening endeavor of playing unaccompanied chick-rock look like a day at the spa. Bears a resemblance to actress Selma Blair and possesses a mistry, come-hither voice that coud make a fleet of soldiers on the other side of the globe stand up and salute."
