"Grinders Switch Hour"

Welcome to the Grinders Switch Hour. We have a good show lined up for you today. We've got somebody who hasn't been on the show before. We're glad to have Lori Toy here with us from Lyles, Tn. She's a great singer songwriter. We called Lori up and she had actually just played at the Bluebird in Nashville, Tn.

Mickey: How long have you been writing songs?

Lori: I've been writing since about the age of ten years old. I've kept them all in a suit case in the closet.
Lately, I've gotten some encouragement from the Nashville Songwriters Association and have been encouraged to develop my craft.

Mickey: Well alright! Hot Dog! We got Darin Cochran on guitar, gonna back her up and Damond Wherry on the bass here and John back here on the drums. What are you gonna do Lori?

Lori: I'm gonna do a song called You Still Make Me Feel 21

Mickey: Take off
Lori sang six original songs that day live on Kix 96 Radio.

Mickey: Great job, Lori Toy. Thank up for coming today Lori, we appreciat you coming down.

Bio

Lori grew up running barefoot as a rough and tough horse riding tomboy ,just outside of Nashville, Tn. She listened to her fathers old LPs of Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins and Merle Haggard. She also attended a local country church where she learned to sing with true emotion.
She began to branch out in her teens and play banjo and sing at local talent shows, fairs and fund raisers. She was lead singer for the contemporary gospel group Change Of Heart and recorded two albums of original music with them.
Today Lori is a dedicated songwriter enjoying the journey and remaining grateful for the many beautiful souls and encouraging hearts, who have all in some way, inspired her to write another song.
