Bio

Lorraine Lawson's debut hit single, "If I Could," received major-market CHR and AC airplay as well as video play from coast to coast. And Canada took notice. The National Post ran a front-page entertainment story hailing Lawson as one of Canada's hottest emerging stars.

Lorraine has performed all over the world, including Asia, Europe, the United States and the Caribbean. She was honoured to represent Canada in a Cultural Festival held in Beijing, China in 1998 and again in 2001; she performed at the Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, the famous New York Bar ("Lost in Translation") in the Park Hyatt Tokyo and the Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. Lorraine proudly entertained the Canadian Armed Forces in Labrador and the far North.
Lorraine has also performed at an array of corporate and private functions including Wal-Mart's Annual Convention, the Brazilian Ball and the Toronto Mayor's Ball. She is a regular guest vocalist at the Air Canada Centre singing the National Anthems for both the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Raptors.

"With her attractive stage presence and charismatic flare, Lorraine is instantly able to convince fans that she is most comfortable while performing." Marc LeBlanc, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment.

In 2001, Lorraine was approached by Somerset Entertainment to record a CD of jazz and pop standards for the Avalon label. "Quiet Nights" was the first vocal album to be included in the very popular Solitudes Collection.
Lorraine has appeared on national television, most notably on Canada AM, TSN's Off the Record, CTV's Open Mike with Mike Bullard and as a vocal coach for Popstars "The One". Lorraine's songs have been featured on several television shows including Showtime's "The L Word", Queer as Folk, WB's "Cardcaptors" and "Popstars".

"It's only a matter of time before Lorraine finds the wider audience that she deserves," says Richard Mills of S.L. Feldman & Associates.

Award-winning recording engineer John Bailey says, "In Canada's fine tradition of world-class female artists, Lorraine is AC's next sweetheart." Lorraine Lawson has never sung better. Her boundless energy and commitment to making a difference with her music, create a solid platform for her success.
