Bio
Born in London, England of Irish heritage, Lorraine has had a varied mix of experiences in the music world. Her first stage performance was at the age of 11 , A founder member of a Dublin based Abba style cover band by the time she was 17., Having taken time out to raise a family, she returned to her love of music as a songwriter / performing artist -- touring with an Irish concert troupe throughout Ireland, Europe and appearances in USA . Solo corporate concerts as far away as Japan. Live television slot to an audience of 80 million people . singing live on radio in Ireland , New York and Japan .Lorraine's ability to grasp the basics of foreign languages (French ,Japanese ) has allowed her to enjoy music at its source. . A world traveler who embraces the chance to try something new and challenging.!
Coming from a musical family background that goes back 2 generations music is in her blood . Influences are too numerous to list individually - in a nutshell Classical to Rock and everything in between !
Lorraine has given up live performance for the moment and is concentrating on writing and song writing in the hope that her work will reach and touch a wider global audience.
Trips back and forth to Nashville , Co-writing has opened up a whole new world of possibilities and gained numerous recognitions . (please see www.myspace.com/lorrainepalmeroreilly for further details and more songs)
She continues to write and submit to as many opportunities as possible in the hope that some of her work will one day allow her to spread awareness of homeless and missing children.
'Play My Body' performed and written by Lorraine has been taken up for the Violet Femmes Vol 2 CD out of Canada.
