"Winning combination that includes the special style of Los Caparos - reggae fortified with ska, diluted in dub and immersed in jungle, together with the different languages - all these create a musical mixture, that is hard to stand! Eight men distribute magnetic energy on stage and beyond..." - Irit Rivniker

"Los Caparos doesn't give a damn. they got on to the ethnic rock movement, a combination of reggae, rock, dub, ska and jungle, along with a Russian temperament they wants to take over the streets, to impose disorder and to entertain, because as Los Caparos say – everything is "kakamaika" (nonsense). It's rhythmic, it makes your feet move on their own, it draws you to the circle. So join and sing along - CCCP" - Yossi Harsonsky

“Los Caparos' sound is something so unique that it almost never gets heard in Israel and Caparos do it in the coolest, most fun way you can imagine” - Musicpage.co.il

Bio

Los Caparos are a genuine proof of the successful mixing of different cultures, languages and musical styles. Starting their musical career in 2004 by playing in pubs and clubs, closely associated with the Russian community of Tel-Aviv, the band has quickly found a way into the hearts of the native Israeli audience as well. The combination of the Russian temperament and the Israeli sun has created a fresh, new and unique blend of Ska, Reggae, Dub, Jungle and World Music in Russian, Hebrew and English, and made the music of Los Caparos truly international.
The band's staff is also multicultural, as it includes both native Israeli and Russian speaking musicians. Some of Los Caparos' members are well known in the Israeli music scene and take part in different musical projects, such as The Apples, The Hoodska Explosive, Avi Leibovich Orchestra and Reggaestan to name a few. MC Goga is one of the leading figures of the Israeli drum'n'bass scene. Los Caparos actively perform in Israel, gaining an increasing interest of the audience and the mass media. The band has taken part in a number of festivals, among them "Tel-Aviv Music Festival 2009", "Festival Be-Shekel 2007", "VDOH 2005" in Moscow and "Ir-HaBira 2005/06", "Ha-Tamar" and "From Russia with Love 2008" - largest music event in Israel which brings together more then 200,000 people from all over the country.
During 2006-2007 Los Caparos recorded their debut album, "Rasta Vasily," co-produced by Beno Hendler - an independent Israeli music maker, who has worked with Berry Sakharof, Tomer Yosef, Adam Ben-Lavi (Fishi the Big), Balkan Beat Box and others. Many of the tracks feature guest appearances by some wonderful musicians - Uri Kinrot and Yuval "Tubi" Zolotov from "Boom Pam", Yaron Ouzanna from "The Apples", Alon Sage from "Hardal", Sangit Dotan Segal from "Kuluma", Amir Pinto, Shaul Eshet and Roi Harazi. Recording and mixing were made by Adir "Doctor" Dadya, some tracks mixed by Guy Mar ("Ha-Dag Nahash").

The band is also active in the international scene. So far, Los Caparos had successful tours in Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany and Czech Republic, performing in variety of venues, among them some prestigious events and festivals such as Fête de la Musique in Paris, Nice Conservatory and Mighty Sounds Festival.
Los Caparos has finished recording their second album "Haim Beseret" (Living a movie) in the summer of 2012, and in the following year the band released four singles and three music videos. The album came out in the beginning of January 2013 and received great response from critics and audience and lot of interest from the media. As the previous one, this album too was produced by Beno Hendler and features guest appearances by some wonderful Israeli musicians. Compared to "Rasta Vasily", "Haim Beseret" is conceptually a much more "Israeli" album – more than half of its songs are in Hebrew and deal in different ways with Israeli reality. But, of course, Russian, English and even Spanish are also represented well to keep the cultural balance and the cosmopolite spirit of the band.

To date, the group has taken part in a variety of social and cultural projects and venues. Among the most notable are:
