Los Devastrados

Los Devastrados

BandRockJam

Los Devastrados is an LA based jazz and funk power trio. With influences ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughn to the Meters, James Brown, and Band of Gypsies, the band strikes a balance between groove oriented blues, melodic, modern jazz, and soulful ballads.

Biography

Los Devastrados was formed in the Summer of 2007, by guitarist and composer Gabe Rosenn. Meeting with like-minded musical compatriots, Jason Powell, on bass, Doug Dickerman, on drums, and bringing in LA jazz legend, Joe Bagg, on keyboards, the group struck an instant bond. Two years later, they've headlined at bars and clubs around LA, including Cozy's Bar and Grill, Seven Grand, the Pasadena jazz Institute, Crane's Tavern, and Cafe Metropol; as well as playing local festivals with the LA Jazz Collective.

"Armed with a killer tone, L.A.-based guitarist / composer Gabe Rosenn leads this tight-knit unit on an instrumental road trip alternating between catchy, hard groovin' funk hooks and gorgeous, lyrical ballads. With his innately tasty phrasing, Rosenn seamlessly blends the influences of Freddie King, John Scofield and the Meters. Highly recommended."
