LossofAutonomy (LoA) are a post-hardcore/alternative rock band originating from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Formed late 2005 the LoA line up is Elliot (Vocals, Screams), Jaxn (Guitar, Keyboards), Levi (Guitar, Vocals), Jason (Bass) and Lewis (Drums). The 19 year olds come from diverse backgrounds and constantly push themselves to develop a sound which continually evolves; this allows LoA to blend different music genres into one cohesive form that is LoA.
LoA, is proving to be one of the Sunshine Coasts strongest emerging young bands drawing upon musical influences ranging from The Cure, Jeff Buckley and Pink Floyd, to Converge, Atreyu and everything in between.
LoA’s unique approach to song writing and expanding musicianship has ensured they are rapidly being recognized by the music community as a band that is determined and striving to succeed in the business world that is the music industry. As a result LoA have played alongside bands like: Japunga, Melodyssey, False Start (NZ), Riviera, the Wrath and Kizmet.
LoA have recently finished recording their debut EP ‘When Seasons Never Change’, and are heading to the studio later this year to produce their first Full length album ‘This is No Accident’.
