Bio

Most bands play music that is diverse; others opt to focus their efforts on one style. But few bands, if any, can do both at the same time, that is, excluding New York City based hard rock band Lost Art. Lost Art encompasses a broad spectrum of music including metal, R&B, soul, classical, and jazz excluding none of it from their style resulting in music that is as heavy and ominous as it is smooth and sensitive. Founding members Nate Daley and Chris Williams met in 2001, when Chris joined an R&B group that Nate was already a member of. When that group slowly fell apart, the two immediately set out to form the makings of what is now called Lost Art. “We actually started writing and recording songs in the hopes that midway we would have found other band mates, but we didn’t find anyone until nearly two years later.” explains singer/guitarist Nate Daley. Just when all looked bleak, drummer Chemi Bordowitz came in from Israel looking to join a band and saw an ad left in Sam Ash for a drummer. “I originally wanted to join a band that was already established so I could simply learn the songs and start gigging.” Explains Chemi “But when Nate gave me their demo, something about their songs stood out, so I committed to them.” Not too much later, bassist Mitch Lebron joined the fold. Mitch left and Bassist Chris Evans joined the line up.
