Bio

Robert Mag, John Winhimmer and Robert Bunnyman Rocco have played together in various bands in the mid to late 80's. The Snapshots was there first band. A mix of punk and new wave and theatrics. Odd make-up and costumes. Frequently playing NYC clubs such as CBGB's. After they dAisbanded in the late 80's, Robert and John continued with Bird Number Nine and then Lostdog. After venturing off on their on solo endeavors in te 90's, in the summer of 2007, they regrouped with Rocco to create Lostdog in Loveland, a Gam Rock influenced alternative band.

When LiL formed in 2007, they saw a void in the state of current music. The boys were weened on music from the 70's like Bowie, Pink Floyd, Roxy Music. These bands would create textured audio landscapes for the listener to get lost in with engaging lyrics. Layers of sound to weave in and out of. Music that just gets better with headphones. To do all this and package it up in solid pop/rock tunes. To help fine tune this sound, they hired the big gun, Mike Garson of David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails, Smashing Pumpkins, on piano. Mike's addition has added a certain finesse not heard in many bands today. Lostdog in Loveland is sophisticated and powerful. Melancholy and infectious. Contemporary and classic. They released a 4 song EP entitled Welcome to Loveland.

In 2008, they hired guitarist Paul JM and Michael O'Keefe on drums and started playing live shows in New York.In 2009, they added keyboardist Rob Biggers to try to closer replicate the sound they have achieved on record.

In 2009, Lostdog was asked to contribute a track to an upcoming Roxy Music tribute. For this they challenged themselves to cover Roxy Music's classic Mother Of Pearl. Extremely happy with the results, this became one of the best received tracks in all the record reviews as well as with purchasers and Roxy fans.

In 2011, they will be releasing their first full length CD entitled sadanthem as well as also playing on a tribute CD for Sky Saxon (Lead singer of the Seeds). Their cover of The World Is Spinning All Around Us Now was quoted by the President of the Label as saying it is one of the strongest tracks on the 3-CD tribute. The YTribute CD also features Iggy Pop, The Tubes, The Damned and a slue of other classic bands.
