Review of "You Can Fly" off our debut EP from listener ID # 167 of TAXI
"... very nice job. This is a great song. Very tightly structured, memorable chorus melody, good vocal hook and song title, cool guitar riff (1e+a +a3e 4e+a) driving the song.
I found this song to be... well structured. very little fat on this song. Right from the first note, the form is very tight.
Very nice job and best of luck with your career.

Wolff asked me to give my impressions of the four song demo. First, the good stuff: The songs all appear to be radio friendly and the songwriting is strong. The vocals are good and easily heard through the music and are distinctive enough to give the band a musical personality. Track No 4 "Running Far" was my personal favorite simply because it had the best arrangement. I also like track 1 "You Can Fly" because it is "Kick-ass Rock." I would think that if you did get signed to a major label, they would shove you down everyone's collective throat by playing this stuff 50x a day - Glenn C. Romano. Entertainment Lawyer
"I just put in "Lost Lives" demo disc. This is the fourth time I've listened to it. I am still surprised at how drawn in I am by the first song "You Can Fly." It inspires hope and forgiveness using classic technique. If a shoe like greatness fits, wear it.
The first verse of "Paradise" interests me. Many times I have found myself thinking this in past relationships about the guy I am trying to be sexy for. Now, I have a tangible, musical, well-worded response.
They shake up the fast-paced monotony with "Shining Star." Reaching the pinnacle of life through self-realization provides a great topic for future radio play. "Running Far" sounds like it should make a girl feel special, but it really makes her feel pushed away. This is the kind of behavior that makes girls ask the question that inspired "Paradise.""

"I was very surprised to hear such great songwriting and song development. "Lost Lives" radio ready sampler was very well received out here in the Midwest. Plus, I love that the song titles run together like a poem. The CD's still in my CD player. Rating: "Lost Lives" - @@@@@

"After listening to "After listening to Lost Lives self titled debut EP you can't help but be inspired. It couples together captivating lyrics with great musicianship. The first song "You Can Fly" has a very uplifting feel to it. When listening to it you can't help but smile and you'll notice yourself singing along to the catchy chorus. "Paradise" is more a story of a relationship. This relatively fast paced song seems to accentuate the hardships of realtionships , while "Shining Star" is a little slower and focuses more on self-realization. The track "Running Far" is a great arrangement adding a great end to the EP which will leave you in anticipation for the full length CD. ABOUT LOST LIVES
The last founding member of Lost Lives, Tony Nelson, grew up on the streets of Baltimore City where he spent much of his early days playing drums. It was during his teen years that Tony’s brother convinced him to start playing bass guitar. Tony spent the next 5 years playing the Baltimore club circuit with his brother. After a successful run in his brothers group, Tony was recruited as the drummer for a working R&B band. Tony spent the next 10 years playing drums with this group until one day tragedy struck. Tony seriously injured his back, cutting short his career as a drummer. Not to be discouraged by his injury and determined to continue on in music, Tony began perfecting his bass playing and in the process created a style and tone that is uniquely his. Tony’s playing brings a smooth complexity to the music that has almost become a lost art form in rock music. The Band’s drummer Mike Bingman is talent in its rawest form. Tony met Mike while he was still in high school. Mike had just recently quit playing drums in a metal band where double bass was king and the faster and louder the music the better. After a few practices, Mike honed his skills into a perfect mix of rhythmic simplicity and raw explosive aggression. Mike has also played in numerous cover bands and can put beats to anything from R&B/ Hip Hop to Hard Rock/Metal. Mike still takes lessons to increase his knowledge and his skills to become one of the most talented drummers in the region. Drew Kramer joined the group bringing his excellent young songwriting talent and rhythm guitar skills. As a writer, he brings alot to this band. Mostly as a musician, but also as a lyricist. He brings a high energy punk sound to the band that has all but faded and will hopefully bring this group to the limelight. The newest addition to the band is our frontman, Timothy Birdsall. Hailing from a nothing town in Northern Michigan, where the music scene has practically died, he was more than greatful to have a chance to work with the musicians is this group. Tim is a multi-talented musician and vocalist who brings skill in many different genres including: hip-hop, grunge, hard rock,, alternative, and punk, and Metal. He's been a guitar player since his sophmore year in high school. Sice then, he tried over and over to put groups together, but he just couldn't seem to kick them off of the ground. After his work in 5 failed bands he decided to go solo and write alone. He began producing all of his own music from scratch, but found it hard to pick a genre and stick with it. He moved out here to Baltimore, looking for something more and he's found it. His writing and composing skills compliment Drew's, Mike's rhythms hit like bomb explosions, and Tony's bass lines bring the house down. All together they enhance the chances of the new Lost Lives to go further than they have ever gone. The new music sends a shockwave through you, that not only targets your flesh and your bone, but your heart and mind. Like a GREAT PHOENIX when you think They''re dead and gone "THEY RISE FROM THE ASHES" to bring the world Hard Kick Ass Rock & Roll. LOST LIVES DEDICATES THEIR MUSIC TO ALL THE LIVES SACRIFICED IN THE NAME OF FREEDOM AND ALSO THE LIVES TAKEN FROM US NEEDLESSLY BEFORE THEIR TIME.
