Lost Soul is an energetic classic jazz quintet that is deeply rooted in the most basic of traditions of jazz.
We present this EPK as a means to book future dates at fine Front Range establishments, as an accompaniment to great cuisine or as headlining an evening's entertainment for swing listeners, dancers, and fans.
In January 2008, Lost Soul "sold out" the dining room on a Sunday night at Dazzle Restaurant and Lounge. Dazzle is one of Denver's premier jazz supper clubs and one of the 'World's Top 100 Jazz Clubs' as recently listed by Downbeat Magazine.

Pianist Kathryn Shut has also performed at the former Hotel San Remo in Las Vegas, the historic Musician's Mutual Foundation in Kansas City, and at the Chapparral Grill (Adam's Mark) in Dallas, alongside her father, jazz master Tim Ballard. Music director and trumpeter Mike Evans also lends great licks to Denver Dixie band Jubilee Hot Seven, a swing dance band, and a classical brass quintet.
When appropriate, we will invite stellar guest artists to perform with us. We have worked with Keith Oxman (tenor sax), Tim Ballard (vocals), Drew Morell (bass), Jared Johnson (tenor sax), Jean Luc-Davis (bass), Julia Wilson (vocals), and John Hines (trombone) just to name a few!
The group's sound is perfect for intimate gatherings, such as dinner or behind conversation (... we are proud to share that we were actually complimented by patrons at several local restaurants for this quality... ) However, never boring, the group swings with a passion, without being harsh or brassy.
