Lotusibiza

LOTUS is an Acoustic Contemporary Fusion Trio. Voice, Santur, Cello. The group formed
during the winter season in Ibiza 2011.

The singer and composer Ivana Spodniakova collecting her works dedicated to 4 elements during two years. After her moving to Ibiza she starts to perform and transform them with Cellist and Santur player; soon the trio will incorporate tabla player (traditional Indian percussions).

The music of LOTUS has relaxing, introspective, ambient nature
the music itself helps the listener to enter a mystical world which is based on the concept of
four elements: Fire, Earth, Water & Air. The concept of the music is a Comtemporary Art form in itself.

Music has always played an important role – Born in a musical family Mary Began formal music lessons on Piano at 4YOA & Cello at 7. From 5 YOA she began performing in festivals including North London Music Festival. Cello ASRM diploma GRADE 8 at 17 YOA, Grade 5 Therory ASRM Diploma, Piano Grade 5
A level Music A* - Including studies of Bach Chorales & Harmonisation which influences her harmonic improvisation today. From the age of 8 performed in high level symphony s on this planet.

The music of LOTUS has the intention of healing. In its relaxing, introspective, ambient nature the music itself helps the listener to enter a mystical world which is based on the concept of four elements: Fire, Earth, Water & Air. These four elements are also explored in their Cosmic extension, the concept of the music is a Comtemporary Art form in itself.

The intention of Lotus through their performance, Visuals & Distribution of Album is to promote awareness of these essential elements as characteristic
archetypes to better to understand our psyche and nature as individuals & as external elements in the planet & universe.

A focus of LOTUS project is to promote awareness in relation to the importance of the balance and interrelationship between the elements & environmental concerns on this planet. We are looking for funding to facilitate this. The group will benefit greatly if they can raise the finance to record an album which can be distributed not only on Amazon music but also sold when in concert locations.
