Lou Rivera

Lou Rivera is an American indie rock/acoustic band from Youngstown, OH. The band was formed by lead vocalist/guitarist Lou Rivera in early 2015. The bands members are (left to right) Nick Byce (saxophone), Brandon Hurst (keyboard, vocals), Lou Rivera (lead vocals, guitar), Shawn Rae (drums, vocals), Sean Bednarz (bass guitar), & CJ Mosure (lead guitar). Lou Rivera recently released their first E.P. entitled “The Running Away” on August 13th, 2015. Lou Rivera was rooted in Liberty, Ohio by current front man Lou Rivera, who originally began “Lou Rivera” as a solo acoustic project. As Rivera started writing/learning more songs he began to play locally for graduation parties, small get togethers, etc. As of late 2014 Lou Rivera had met Shawn Rae, and since then began playing bass guitar/vocals for “Force of Habit”. Getting more involved in music Lou began to revamp his solo acoustic project and it started by adding current keyboardist and fellow classmate Brandon Hurst. Shawn Rae decided to play drums and then they picked up Sean Bednarz on bass guitar in early April 2015.

In the month of July 2015 Lou Rivera expanded upon their music and picked up two new members including longtime friend Nick Byce on saxophone and CJ Mosure, the lead guitar player of “Force of Habit” on lead guitar. Since the bands initial formation they have played various local festivals and venues in the Northeast Ohio area.
