"Today’s Country Magazine had this to say about Lou Ann Petty’s Nashville debut"

“All it takes is five seconds to realize that Lou Ann Petty is one of the best newcomers not just to Country Music, but to songwriting as well. With a voice that is contagious, inspiring and absolutely breathtaking, her new record is superb, sharing life experiences and heartfelt emotions that are typically left out of today's "mainstream" radio. Listening to each track takes you on a journey that will have each listener constantly hitting ‘repeat.’ Now, if you have the chance to see her live, do yourself a favor and go. She is the real deal. In person, she takes each word to the next level. Nashville had Harlan Howard and now Texas has Lou Ann Petty!” - *

"The Ron and Rita Show on 93.5 "The Coyote""

It was wonderful having you on the show today. You have SUCH talent. On key perfectly at 7 in the morning? WOW! And, you write such great music. The future is yours for the taking.

If there is anything I/we can do to help you along, please let me know. I have some contacts in Nashville or in the biz who know how to make it happen.

You are exactly right - you gotta be at the right place at the right millisecond.

Again, anything I can do to help. You are a very talented young lady!

"Jim T. Anderson, Playright-in-Residence at TAMU-Commerce"

"When local audiences hear that Lou Ann Petty is in one of our plays, we sell out the performances, because once you’ve heard her sing, you want more. She has one of the sweetest voices this side of Heaven.” - *

"Matt Meinke, host of “Notably Texan” on YourStation, 88.9 KETR, on Lou Ann's new album:"

After years of spreading the word about Lou Ann's phenomenal voice and writing during my program Notably Texan, it is a real thrill to watch her career soar to new heights! We can no longer contain her talent locally, and “I’m Falling” is sure to send Lou Ann great places.” - *

"Lou Ann Petty composes inspirational song for ACS's Relay for Life Campaign"

Lou Ann wrote a song for me called Living for Today (Kelly’s Song). I invited her to perform the song at the Relay for Life of Bethel, CT. Both Lou Ann and the song were big hits, so much so that she was asked to perform in Bethel again the following year. All proceeds from the song are donated to Relay for Life.”
“It makes me so proud to know that this song, written in my honor, gives people a sense of hope and also generates money to fight back against cancer.”
Kelly Stewart
Cancer survivor and proud cousin of Lou Ann Petty

"Industry professional Brad Davis “The Shredder” dishes on Lou Ann Petty"

“Lou Ann Petty is a diamond in the rough. The only way I can describe her original vocal sound is this – ‘Don Williams meets Alison Krauss meets Tanya Tucker.’”
“She is a hot, red dirt queen who is positively comfortable with a live wild audience.”
- BDM Publishing

LATE-BREAKING NEWS: Lou Ann Petty was nominated for "Female Vocalist of the Year" by the Academy of Texas Music! Awards show to be held on March 24, 2012 in Linden, Texas - STAY TUNED!

Heart-felt lyrics, melodies that can soothe, inspire, rock or make you laugh – mix these together with crystal clear vocals, and the backing of a Grammy Award-winning producer, and you have the recipe for Lou Ann Petty’s latest smash album, “I’m Falling.”

Co-produced with Brad Davis, "The Shredder”, Grammy Award-winning guitarist, singer/songwriter, and music industry professional, Lou Ann’s latest offering is a sure hit. Brad’s soaring guitar influence, studio production experience, and perfectly matched vocal harmonies make this a stand-out album in any genre.

Adding to the musical magic is Ross Holmes' stand-out fiddle performance. Ross is a member of Mumford & Sons, nominated in 2012 for five Grammy Awards.

Lou Ann is represented by Blanchard Management Group (BMG) of Nashville, TN, and recently signed with Music Entertainment Records, also of Nashville. Along with Brad Davis, her other BMG roster mates include Lane Brody, Oscar-nominated singer/songwriter, and Country Legend, Lynn Anderson.

Early influences include Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, and her all-time favorite, Dolly Parton. Lou Ann considers one of her greatest accomplishments to be that of portraying country music legend Patsy Cline in the Texas A&M University-Commerce performance of "Always...Patsy Cline."

Lou Ann has spent a lifetime on the stage, and is comfortable being out in front. She has been in bands, ensembles, and acting roles from an early age, and is currently working on new stage shows with an acoustic trio, and a five-piece band.

While Lou Ann's roots are based in country and folk, she has broad range of musical tastes and abilities. “If I like a song, it makes no difference to me what you call it - I’m not afraid to try anything if it speaks to me in some way.”

Lou Ann’s CD Release Party for her latest offering, "I'm Falling", will be on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the new, “College Corner Café’” in Commerce, Texas, owned and operated by Austin music and restaurant guru, Larry “Smitty” Smith. Along with her band, Luck of the Draw, it promises to be a night filled with great food and smoking music!
