"Their live show is outstanding..."

...As far as the music, it’s kind of like Sublime meets The Police meets Big Sugar…and their live show is outstanding.

"Strong and Ready..."

Loudloves new album, "Seven Days to Shine" is both strong and ready. I predict good things to come from this band who can deliver live as well.

Bio

Ottawa’s Loudlove have been making the most of the $50,000 awarded in a local 2006 radio station contest: “Live 88.5’s BIG MONEY SHOT”. In July of 2007 the band released their much anticipated album, “Seven Days to Shine”, and the debut single “Red Grid Shines” was been put in heavy rotation following positive listener response.

With their winnings Loudlove decided to record a full length album after sourcing out a world class studio and producer to best capture their sound. This new album, recorded at MixArt Studios in Montreal was produced by Greg Smith, who has worked with such artists as Arcade Fire, K OS, Bedouin Soundclash, Jean Leloup and Loco Locass to name a few. Having heard the album and describing it as both “strong” and “ready”, Derrick Ross of Feldman & Associates, predicts good things to come for a band he says delivers live as well.

Born of front man and songwriter Peter Mackenzie Hammond’s battle with cancer, Loudlove is a celebration of life & love. The band has been described as both positive and genuine, with a mix of rock, reggae, and other musical influences. Peter says, “All of that should be ignored. We would rather see the smiles and sweat pouring off you as you dance to our music and enjoy the atmosphere at a Loudlove show. The proof of any artist is their live performance. Are they studio creampuffs or are they the real deal? Only one body can decide that and that body is you, the audience member, the fan, the crowd.”

The new Loudlove album; “Seven Days to Shine” was recorded in what could only be described by the band as seven days of heaven & hell. Recording ten out of the fifty plus songs written in that time frame was a difficult challenge which they took on with passion. The same passion Loudlove lays it out there with on stage every night, every time.

With a solid fan base gained from a cross Canada tour, constant 401 corridor runs, East Coast jaunts and another Canadian tour coming up in August ’08 Loudlove will soon be on the airwaves coast to coast with their follow up single “In The Morning”.
