Biography

Louis Bernstone's first 21 years was spent in Lower Hutt and Wellington where he played in various bands on bass and keyboards throughout highschool and university. Finally, Louis met Chris Balm, and they embarked on a 2 year crusade to treat NZ to its first all synth and sequencer night club band. The wide variety of music Louis played shows its influence in the mixture of style, and gave him a grounding in songwriting and musicianship that he utilises today in his music.

Lyrics

Stroke

Written By: Louis Bernstone

Am I Supposed to wonder why?
Some things were never meant to fly
And if you showed yourself today
Would it be the same old way

And if you told me what to do
Do you think I would do it for you?
And if you told me what to say
Does it matter anyway?

And if it wasnt for the walls
We put up all around ourselves
And if it wasnt for the things
We do to help the hands that hurt
And if it wasnt for the things
That make our eyes turn away
Can we die another way.

Did you forget to tell me why?
The real reasons pass me by
And if you wanted to be true
The things we did would not be new

And if you told me what to do
Do you think I would do it for you?
And if you told me what to say
Does it matter anyway?

And if it wasnt for the walls
We put up all around ourselves
And if it wasnt for the things
We do to help the hands that hurt
And if it wasnt for the things
That make our eyes turn away
Can we die another way.

Big Country Dream

Written By: Louis Bernstone

As the desert flies on the wings of doves we try
To change the world from what it might become
How could we do this?
We knew the consequences
In our own hands

In a big country dream
We can sleep while the world turns
In a big country dream
We can fly
In a big country dream
We can love till the morning comes
In a big country dream
We can fly in a big country dream

Wheels will turn underneath our heavy hearts
Painfull days when emptiness was part
All along the waterline
People look for a sign
A lonely man, a lonely heart, hell travel far.

In a big country dream
We can sleep while the world turns
In a big country dream
We can fly
In a big country dream
We can love till the morning comes
In a big country dream
We can fly in a big country dream

Morning

Written By: Louis Bernstone

In the morning, when your sunshines here
It makes me glad to be alive
And in the morning when youre standing here
I know that I will still survive

I see you walking down the street
Is it me youve come to see?
But its not the way I saw it in my dreams
Ten thousand people look around
They wonder what they see
Is it really just you and me and you and me and you

In the morning, when your sunshines here
It makes me glad to be alive
And in the morning when youre standing here
I know that I will still survive

And now the dream is over
Is there nothing left to say?
Another place, another day we travel on
Ten thousand people look around
We know what they can see
It really is just you and me and you and me and you

In the morning, when your sunshines here
It makes me glad to be alive
And in the morning when youre standing here
I know that I will still survive

Is there any wonder here at all?
Is there any wonder that I fall?
Is there any wonder here at all?
Till you came and opened up the door.
